In early September 1999, the Nik and Barbara show struck out on the road for a six-week adventure in Europe. We shouldered backpacks, an old beater guitar and a laptop which allowed us to journal the highlights and impressions of each day.

We may go toward Belgium, Barbara’s roots, maybe Holland to buy a car at the Utrick Auto Flea market. The countryside is ours, the itinerary is loose; we are traveling ‘Europe on a Whim’.
